The Rolex Yacht-Master debuted in 1992 as a sporty luxury watch that takes the world of sailing as its inspiration. Unlike a dive watch, its bezel turns in both directions and carries raised, polished numerals, a deliberate choice of elegance over pure tool. The model is offered in precious metals and combinations such as steel with platinum, and gained a larger, modern sibling in the Yacht-Master 42 on the supple Oysterflex strap. Rugged enough for the water and luxurious enough beyond it, the Yacht-Master holds a place all its own in the Rolex range.
