Description
The Rolex Day-Date appeared in 1956 as the first wristwatch to display not only the date but also the day of the week spelled out in full in a window. From the outset it was a watch for the very top: offered exclusively in solid gold or platinum, and fitted to the specially designed President bracelet that later became its nickname. Worn by heads of state, captains of industry and cultural icons, it earned a reputation as the ultimate status watch. The Day-Date 40 is the modern execution, with refined proportions and the brand's most advanced movement. This rose-gold version carries a fully set, multi-colour dial, exuberant and luxurious.
