The Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Offshore appeared in 1993 as a larger, tougher reinterpretation of the Royal Oak, designed by the young Emmanuel Gueit. With its imposing case, thicker proportions and coarser Mega Tapisserie dial, it deliberately broke with the restrained elegance of the original. The chronograph version became the face of the line: divisive at first, it grew precisely through its bold character into a cult object on the wrists of athletes and stars. Today it stands for haute horlogerie with attitude: powerful, characterful and unmistakably present. A light dial with contrasting sub-dials and rose gold, with a panda look.
